This 1997 Mercedes-Benz G36 AMG is a left-hand-drive Japanese-market example that was imported to the US by the selling dealer in February 2023. The truck is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over black leather upholstery and powered by a 3.6-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and three locking differentials. Additional equipment includes 16″ alloy wheels, a front brush guard, a side-exit exhaust system, a sunroof, a cassette stereo, a 12-disc CD changer, burr wood interior trim, heated and power-adjustable front seats, and inward-facing rear jump seats. Work performed following importation is said to have included recharging the air conditioning system and replacing the steering damper. This W463 is now offered by the selling dealer with Japanese-language manufacturer’s literature, a CarVX report, a Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title.

The truck left the factory finished in Brilliant Silver (974U) and wears a front brush guard, body-color wheel arch extensions, and black bumpers. Further exterior details include headlight washers, fog lights, a sunroof, a rear window wiper, a side-exit exhaust system, running boards, and rear mud flaps.

Silver-finished 16″ alloy wheels are wrapped in 265/70 Michelin tires, while a spare protected by a stainless steel-trimmed cover is mounted to the rear door. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. The steering damper is said to have been replaced in February 2023.

The heated and power-adjustable front bucket seats are upholstered in black leather that extends to the split second row bench, inward-facing rear jump seats, and door panels. Burr walnut trim accents the steering wheel, dashboard, center console. The cassette stereo is connected to a 12-disc CD changer mounted below the driver’s seat, and additional amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, headlight aiming control, and power windows, mirrors, and door locks. The selling dealer states that the air conditioning system was recharged in February 2023.

Instrumentation consists of an AMG-branded 280-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 125k kilometers (~78k miles), approximately 200 of which have been added by the selling dealer.

The M104 inline-six was modified by AMG with a stroker crankshaft, which increased the displacement to 3.6-liters. Work performed in preparation for the sale is said to have included changing the oil and air filter.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and locking front, rear, and center differentials that can be engaged via dashboard-mounted switches.
